Today Xiaomi has unveiled a new smartphone in the Mi Max series – The Mi Max 2 is the company’s biggest smartphone, featuring a huge 6.44” touchscreen and a super-large 5,300mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The large battery on-board the Mi Max 2 can be quickly charged to 68% in just one hour.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features an all-metal body design configured with a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM and a choice of storage; 64GB or 128GB. There is a also a microSD slot which offers an additional 128GB of extra space.On the camera front, there is a 12MP Sony IMX386 1.25-micron camera sensor, which is similar to the one found in the Mi 6 handset. Other features on-board the Mi Max 2 include; stereo speakers which are intelligently switched to stereo in landscape orientation mode, rear fingerprint scanner, USB-C connector and IR blaster, allowing you to use the device as a remote control for your TVs, DVD players etc.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is available for sale in China in two variants; 4GB + 64GB model priced at ¥1,699 (~$250) and 4GB + 128GB model priced at ¥1,999 (~$290).
