Today Xiaomi has launched an improved version of its Redmi 3 smartphone. The new Redmi 3 Pro is enhanced with a rear fingerprint sensor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage.

Other specs on-board the Redmi 3 Pro version are exactly the same as the standard Redmi 3 phone; a 5-inch IPS 1280x720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, 4100mAh battery, hybrid dual SIM slot, 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and autofocus and 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2.

Like the non-Pro version, the new Redmi 3 Pro also comes in silver and gold metallic colours and will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop alongside MIUI 7 user interface for ¥899 CNY (~$138 – £96 – €123 – $182 AUD).
