Today in China Xiaomi has finally made its Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A official. The previously leaked Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A are affordable smartphones packed with some respectable specs and priced well. Both, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A are set to hit retails in China on November 11th, 2016.
Xiaomi Redmi 4
Kicking off with the Redmi 4 smartphone, featuring a unibody metal design houses a 5.0-inch 1080p Full HD 441ppi screen covered with 2.5D curved glass, up to Snapdragon 625 octa-core 1.4GHz chipset, up to 3GB of RAM alongside 32GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB), 4,100mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, 13MP main camera with Phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and dual-LED flash, and also a 5MP secondary camera.

The Redmi 4 comes in Silver, Grey and Gold color options pre-loaded with the latest MIUI 8 skin based on Android 6 Marshmallow. It is offered in China in two variants:
- Redmi 4 Standard Edition: 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 720P HD, Snapdragon 430 @ ¥699 (~$103 – £82 – €93).
- Redmi 4 Pro Edition: 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 1080P FHD, Fingerprint Scanner, Snapdragon 625 @ ¥899 (~$133 – £106 – €119).
Xiaomi Redmi 4A
Swiftly moving to the Redmi 4A; an entry-level handset equipped with a hybrid dual-SIM card slot, and also runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is configured with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with the Adreno 308 GPU and 2GB of RAM.It hosts a 3,120mAh battery, 13MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter, and also comes with 2GB RAM + 16GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB) in Gold and Rose Gold color variants with an attractive retail price of ¥499 (~$73 – £58 – €66).
