Apparently Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the successors of its Redmi 3 smartphone, announced back in January 2016. The upcoming Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A had their full specifications, renders and pricing leaked online. Both devices will be stacked in the mid-range & low-end smartphones isle based on their hardware specifications.
Xiaomi Redmi 4
Starting with the Redmi 4, which offers better specs than the Redmi 4A. The former features a metal & plastic body configured with a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage up to 128GB with a microSD card.
The Redmi 4 is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and is also equipped with a 13-Megapixel f/2.2 main camera at the rear and a 5-Megapixel secondary shooter at the front. There is also a fingerprint, infrared sensor in a body that measures 141.3 x 69.6 x 8.9mm and weighs 156 grams.
Xiaomi will ship the Redmi 4 with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow alongside MIUI 8.0.10 user interface out of the box. The device will be offered in a choice of colors including; Gray, Silver and Gold for ¥1,299 (~$191 – £157 – €174).
Xiaomi Redmi 4A
Moving swiftly to the Redmi 4A, which will be aimed for low-end smartphone users. The device has a plastic body packed with a 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 MSM8917 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with microSD slot supports up to 128GB.
The Redmi 4A hosts a 3,030mAh battery (no fast charging), 13-Megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 5X digital Zoom and single-LED flash, and a 5-Megapixel front-facing camera. The device measures 139.9 x 70.1 x 8.5mm, weighs 140 grams, and comes in Gold and Rose Gold colors with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-loaded with a retail price of ¥690 (~$100 – £83 – €92). Both, Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A are expected to be made official sometime next month, November 2016.
