Xiaomi today has launched a couple of new smartphones including; the Mi 5c and Redmi 4X, and also a first-in-house Surge S1, an octa-core 64-bit processor that runs up to 2.2GHz at max frequency and powers the Mi 5c smartphone.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4X features a full metal body armed with a 5-inch 720p HD display covered by 2.5D arc glass, a fingerprint scanner at the rear, Snapdragon 435 Octa-core 1.4GHz processor coupled with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD, and 4,100mAh fast charging battery, delivering 2 days of normal usage and up to 18 days of standby time.

The Redmi 4X is also equipped with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. The device comes in three colours; Cherry blossom Rose, Gold and Matte Black. It is priced at ￥699 (~$102) for the 2GB+16GB model, and ￥899 (~$130) for the 3GB+32GB version.
